The 2- hour program is being offered to women in the Whittier College community. It is based on the mutual credos: (a) violent crimes are crimes of opportunity, and when you remove the element of opportunity, you reduce the risk of attack, and (b) that 90% of self defense is mental preparedness ( i.e. awareness, risk reduction); and the other 10% is physical. Unprecedented in its educational presentation, key elements include a 13 piece folio, a 17 minute film and a 1.5 hour introduction to the option of physical self-defense.
