Helping Hands Reach from Whittier College to the Community
WHAT: Seventh Annual Helping Hands Day at Whittier College
WHEN: Beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, April 24
WHERE: Starting in the parking lot of Philadelphia House, on campus
13406 Philadelphia St., Whittier, Calif.
ADD: Helping Hands Day brings together a volunteer group of students, faculty
and staff to work in the wider Whittier community. Volunteers will be treated to
a continental breakfast before heading off to such project sites as the First
Day Coalition and Posada Whittier. After finishing their work, they’ll be hosted
to a barbecue lunch, where prizes and acknowledgments will be awarded from
1:45-3 p.m.
