President Ashley Johnson
Ashley is
currently a senior Child Development major. Her goal in life has always been
to teach and work with children, and has been lucky enough to be given an
undergraduate fellowship position at Broadoaks School. This allows her to
work with every age groups, but primarily kindergarten. Ashley pledged Palmers
in January 2007 and has never looked back. She is so excited to be a Palmer
and now cannot image her life without her Palmer sisters. They have taught her
so much in such a short amount of time. Ashley does not know what else to say
about herself other than she's really cool and if you ever need a movie/play
going buddy giver her a call.

Elle Foran
Elle is a junior from Rockford, Illinois majoring in Psychology with an
interest in Neuropsychopharmacology. She is also minoring in Religious
Studies and Gender and Women's Studies. Elle became a Palmer in 2009. In
addition to being a Palmer, Elle is also in Psi Chi and Psychology Club and is
the co-captain of the Whittier College Cheerleading Squad.

Marisol Haro
This is Marisol Haro's second year being
elected as ISC Rep and she is very excited to continue this position. She is
currently a junior majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology. She is from
Baldwin Park where she is the youngest of five. Her goals after college is to
continue onto graduate school to receive her Ph.D and become a veterinarian.
She enjoys meeting new people and hanging out with her sisters.
Tammy Miyata
Tammy is a sophomore at Whittier
College from Rosemead, California. She is majoring in Biology and "hopefully"
minoring in Psychology. Tammy is also a member of HIC and ASA. After
graduating from Whittier, she wishes to go to graduate school and hopes to
become a nurse. As many know, Tammy loves anything and everything about
Hawai'i. Tammy says, "II absolutely love my sisters and would be nothing
without them."

Nadine
Barragan ('09) Spring
2009-Fall 2009
Nadine is a recent graduate from Pico Rivera, CA. She is majored in
"Public Policy and the Individual" as a Whittier Scholar. Nadine aspires to
become President of the United States of America. As a undergraduate, Nadine
was also a member of Hispanic Student Association and Circle K, our
international community service organization. Nadine loves to converse about
politics over a nice cup of chai tea latte. She is also obsessed with the
color orange. She enjoys helping her community through service. In her free
time, Nadine loves going out to dance with her sisters!
Rebecca
Deitch ('08)
Fall 2009-Spring 2010
Rebecca is currently working as an award winning Barista at Starbucks in
Irvine, California. She graduated with a BA in political science, and hopes
to eventually go to graduate school to study even more about politics.
Rebecca pledged in 2005 and ever since then she has loved being a Palmer.
She has been very involved in the leadership of the society since her first
year as an active. Becca, as she is known, has served the Society as
President, Vice President, and Intersociety Council Representative. She
looks forward to making herself available to our active sisters as their
alumnae sponsor whenever they need her.

Dr. Mike McBride, "Doc"
Dr. Michael
McBride has served the Palmer Society as Faculty Advisor for over 25 years.
Despite his enormous involvement in Whittier College activities, "Doc" never
hesitates to offer his guidance and support to Palmers. In addition to the
Palmer Society, Mike also currently serves as coach of the Women's Softball
team, advisor of Model United Nations, Director of Foreign Study, Chair of
Political Science department, and Consultant to the United Nations. Mike
earned all three of his degrees from Purdue University: BA in International
Relations ('66), MA in Political Science ('67), and PhD Soviet Studies ('69).
Mike's daughter, Jennifer, is a Whittier College graduate ('96), and his other
daughter, Kathleen, graduated from Lewis and Clark University ('00). In what
little spare time he has, Mike enjoys watching baseball and studying the Civil
War. He enjoyed a well deserved sabbatical working for the United Nations in
Geneva, Switzerland in Fall 2002 and was honored in 2004 at the Poet Award
Gala by receiving the "Honorary Alumni" award.
