Palmer sisters gathered on a
beautiful Fall morning to celebrate the eighty-fifth anniversary our
beloved society. It was wonderful to see so many of our sisters,
over 100 in attendance,
representing eight decades of Palmer Pride. In addition to catching
up with our classmates, we traded stories of our respective times as
a Palmer actives on the Poet campus, took many, many pictures, and
laughed and shared in our joy of being Palmer girls. Kudos to
our active sisters for looking so sharp and being such gracious
hostesses. In addition,
the Palmer Society is truly grateful to Whittier College President, Dr.
Sharon Herzberger, for opening her home, Wardman House, for our
anniversary event. Her hospitality genuinely helped to make our day even
more memorable. Further, we thank Palmer parents, Mike and Vickie
Roy for providing us with shuttle service for the event, taking pictures, and
continually supporting our active sisters in their goals.
Finally, congratulations to our Anniversary Homecoming
Committee– Chair Bobbie Roy, Jasmin Kamel, and Jessie Carlson on a job
well done. From venue to slide show to lovely champagne flutes to
commemorate the day, you thought of everything!
