Date Party

Get your cameras ready because here come the Palmers! On Friday November 6th, the Palmers and dates had their date party at Buca di Beppo. Date party was themed “Dynamic Duos” in which dates dressed up as celebrity couples. They enjoyed dinner and dessert and had a great time with sisters and friends.

Activities

Un-Rush – December 2. The Palmer society held their Un-Rush themed “Holiday Decorating Party” in Harris. Prospective members were able to decorate stockings as well as baked cookies. They also helped with decorating the Harris lounge. It was a great turn out and tons of fun.

Spring 2009 

80’s P.O.P. = Palmer Orthogonian Party On April 11th, the Palmer and Orthogonian Society held their first off campus event.  It was themed 80’s, so you can image what creative ideas people had for their outfits.  Over 300 students attended our event, many sporting side-ponytails and neon colors while dancing the night away to the music of two DJs. It was a huge success for it being the first time held.  There are plans for it becoming an annual event.

Activities

Palmer Spring Formal– April 24

“I’m late! I’m late! I’m late…for the Palmer formal.  Themed “Alice In Wonderland”, this annual event was held in Fullerton.  It was a fun way to dress up and dance our shoes off with sisters and without having anything to worry about.

Family Day– Apr 18

This was a new event held during Whittier College's Family Weekend.  It was a great way to get to know each others' families and even a few pets!  There were tacos, snakes and even a water balloon fight.  We ended with thanks to the committee and sang songs to show our family guests how much Palmers mean to us.

Sisterhood week– Mar 16-19

The Palmer Society had a full week of fun activities and celebration in honor of their sisterhood.  Much needed girl-time away from the daily grind every day of the week and capped off at the end with the semester retreat in Newport Beach where the Palmer sisters dined, shopped, and had a little bonding time away from the Poet campus.

Little Brother Pledging– March 2-6, Nine new little brothers joined the little brother ranks. Pledge Class Name: 9°

Un-Greek Week– Apr 6-10

Inspired by our Water Stags, Palmers and Franklins hosted a water balloon toss on Tuesday of Un-Greek Week.  We were near the rock and all wearing our gear showing our pride to the entire school.
