Can I stay on campus during the vacation periods?
During Thanksgiving Break, all halls will remain
open. During Winter Break and Spring Break all halls
except Wanberg and Wardman will be closed and you
will need to make arrangements to stay at home or
elsewhere. In extreme cases, housing may be provided
(space allowed) in Wanberg and Wardman for an
additional fee. There is no housing available during
the summer.
Is there a curfew or set quiet hours?
While there is no curfew, we do ask that you keep
noise levels to a minimum at all times. Noise levels
should be low enough so as not to disturb others.
Quiet hours are in effect between the hours of 10:00
PM and 8:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and midnight
to 8:00 AM Friday and Saturday. Courtesy hours are
in effect seven days a week, 24-hours a day.
Can I smoke in the residence halls?
No, all of the halls are smoke free. You may smoke
outside of the building if you are at least 50 feet
away.
What kinds of special interest housing is
available?
Each of our residence halls is a little different,
and our goal is place you in a hall that meets your
needs. While the majority of our halls are co-ed by

C and D, and a portion of Wanberg Hall are
designated "substance free." These halls are
designed for students who have an interest in
adopting a substance-free lifestyle. Residents in
these halls make a commitment to their floormates
that they and their guests will refrain from the use
of tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs while on the
floor.
Are the residence halls safe?
The exterior doors of all residence halls are locked
24-hours a day and access is limited to only those
students that reside in the building. Additionally,
Campus Safety is dedicated to ensuring a safe and
comfortable environment for residents to enjoy and
call home. Officers patrol the residence halls on a
regular basis and are easily accessible should an
emergency arise.
Living in a residence hall seems very safe;
therefore, students have a tendency to leave their
rooms unlocked and valuables unattended. In reality,
the number on crime in college residence halls is

opportunity. Remember to always lock your room door
and carry your keys with you.
Which halls are handicapped accessible?

variety of recreational equipment such as pool
tables, foosball tables, ping pong, air hockey,
cards, board games and television. Most halls also
have a VCR or DVD player for you to check out.
Which halls have computer rooms?
Stauffer and Turner Halls are both equipped with
on-site computer centers. There are also computers
available for your use in the Computer Center
(located in the Science Center), Learning Support
Services (located in Philadelphia House) and the
Library.

a full salad bar, deli, full beverage bar and
