What airport should I
fly into and how do I get from the airport to
Whittier College?
Most residents of Whittier utilize Los Angeles
International Airport (LAX) for air travel, though
some fly out of Ontario Airport or Long Beach
Airport. LAX is typically less expensive as a
destination because of its large size and numerous
airlines. Ontario and Long Beach are less busy, but
flights and airline carriers are limited.
Whittier College does not provide shuttle
transportation from the airport for students. There
are a variety of public transport options that will
bring you to campus. The most common and least
expensive options involve airport shuttle services
that offer door-to-door service. Primetime Shuttle
(1-800-733-8267; http://www.redvans.com) and Super
Shuttle (562-498-6670;
http://www.supershuttle.com)
are two of the common providers which are available
for a fee. Both companies accept reservations and
offer pre-pay options, though they will also provide
service without a reservation.
