RESERVE MATERIALS
Selected materials for current classes are
placed on reserve at the Circulation Desk.
WALDO, Whittier College’s online catalog, will
indicate the materials placed on Reserve. Only
one (1) Reserve item can be checked out at a
time.
Faculty
BOOKS and JOURNALS. Faculty may place
instructional materials on reserve by
accompanying them with a Reserve Reading List
form. Print copies of the form are available in
the library as well as on the Library’s website
in PDF format. Please print, fill out, and
bring the form into the Library each time you
bring in reserve materials.

DIGITAL MATERIALS. The library now
will work with faculty to digitize materials
that previously were put on reserve as
photocopies or "electronic reserves." We
can also help you digitize images, video and
audio. Digital course materials will be
deliver through MOODLE.

To find Reserve materials:
Search by Course or Search by Professor [direct
link]. There are four different loan periods for
reserve items: 2-hour library use only; 2-hour
9:00pm overnight; 2-day; and 1-week. To borrow
Reserve items, write down the call number
(library-owned materials), the folder number
(periodical articles), or title (Personal
Copies). Request the item at the Circulation
Desk. You will need your ID card.
Renewals
Reserve materials may be renewed if other
requests have not been made for them. You will
need both the item and your ID card in order to
renew.
Fines
Reserve materials returned late accrue charges
at the rate of $1.00 each hour. After 24 hours,
you will be billed for the fines as well as the
replacement fee of $7.50 for articles and $50.00
for books. A nonrefundable processing fee of
$10.00 will also be added.
