Retrieve the item and bring it to
the Circulation Desk, along with your ID card,
to check it out.
What if the item is not
on the shelf?
If it is checked out, you can
place a hold on the item by asking at the
Circulation Desk. When the item is returned you
will be informed either by phone or in your
campus mail box.
If you can’t find it on the shelf,
make sure you have the correct call number and
are looking in the correct location (i.e. is it
a folio, government document, etc.).
If you still can’t find it, ask at
the Circulation Desk. It may be that the item
is waiting to be reshelved, on the New Books

Overdue notices are sent to your
campus mail box one week after materials are
due. If not returned, a second notice is sent a
week later. After one month, the charges,
including the price of the book, normally $50,
fines, and a non-refundable $10 processing
fee are sent to the Business Office. The
Library does not guarantee the delivery of
notices. You are responsible for returning
