The following computing resources are available at Whittier College:
The Computer Commons is located on the ground floor of the Library. It consists of
Macintosh and PC computers with Ethernet connections. The Multimedia Lab
contains two scanners, one film/slide scanner hooked up to a PC and one
large format flatbed scanner also hooked up to a PC.
Computer Commons Hours
Fall and Spring
Semesters:
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday Noon - 11 p.m.
Summer Hours:
Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Many academic departments have computer labs that serve the needs of
their students. Some labs have Macintosh computers, some have PCs, and
others have both. All computers have Ethernet connections. (*Computers are
not yet networked, but printing is available) Below you will find some of
these departmental labs.

The Bonnie Bell Wardman Library has
Macintosh and PC computers that are used for various reasons. Some of
these include access to the online catalog (Waldo), searching databases and
CD titles, and general computer use.
The Center for Academic Success Lab is located on the 1ST floor of
Science Building. It contains PC computers
with various software applications to help students with special needs.
In most residential halls on campus, there are some Macintosh and PC
computers for students use. All computers have Ethernet connections.
