Among those who may request Non-Commercial User status are: individuals using the collection for personal/genealogical research and faculty and students of recognized academic institutions doing non-commercially funded research. Information and photographs gained from access to the Fairchild Collection as a Non-Commercial User may not be used in any way that will bring profit to the individual or the individual's employer or legal representative.


SOME NON-COMMERCIAL USES OF OUR COLLECTION:

• Undergraduate or graduate research in a wide array of subjects, such as geology, geography, engineering, city planning, biology, and history
• Historians utilize our photos for restoration of golf courses to the architect's original design
• Area educators use our photographs to teach their students about local history and show how their city has changed over time
• Genealogy - many individuals have come in to view and purchase photos of family homes or businesses
• Historical societies also qualify for Non-Commercial User status
