Research Across the Curriculum in Pyschology

To complement our program of Writing Across the Curriculum, we decided to develop a parallel program of Research Across the Curriculum. The idea was to have a research component in every psychology class, which would build in a developmental manner along with the writing assignments.

The research components include bibliographic search, data collection, data analysis, report writing, sumulations, and interactive learning.

To implement the program, we wrote an NSF proposal for a computerized psychology laboratory. Psychology laboratory sections are scheduled in the lab. Other psychology classes have occasional demonstration sessions in the lab. All psychology classes assign homework using the lab.
