CURRENT RESEARCH

(a)  I am collecting data using an online cross-cultural study of Intimate Relationships, which explores ways in which intimate relationships vary as a function of cultural and social background, attitudes and values, and how intimate relationships affect life satisfaction and other aspects of well-being. The questionnaire is being translated into other languages by colleagues around the world.

(b)  I have been collecting and analyzing data using a 40-page Multiple Identities Questionnaire,  which explores various aspects of ethnic, racial, national, religious, geographical, social class, school occupational, gender, sexual, family, health, age, political, and other identities.  I now have data from more than 2000 students over eleven years.

(c) I am conducting a 37-year follow-up of the original participants in the Boston Couples Study, in collaboration with Anne Peplau at UCLA and Zick Rubin of Newton, MA.
