Broadoaks Professional Development Institute
Building on a Tradition of Excellence in Early Childhood Education since 1906

The Broadoaks Professional Development Institute (PDI) is a one- to five-day program designed to help teaching professionals implement a developmentally based, active learning approach in their own classrooms and home-based settings.  The program includes workshops on selected topics, as well as opportunities to work with children in the company of Broadoaks demonstration teachers.  Educators from many parts of the United States and Europe have attended Broadoaks Professional Development Institutes.

Broadoaks PDI Includes:

  1. Up to five full days of seminars and fieldwork on specific topics determined in advance by PDI instructors and representatives of the schools/agencies contracting for services. Scheduled follow-up activities.
  2. Instructional materials to take back to your classroom
    • Sample lesson plans and lots of ideas
  3. Co-teaching opportunities in Broadoaks classrooms (Learn by doing!)
  4. Continental breakfast, afternoon refreshments and lunch daily 

Program Costs:

Five-Day PDI:  For groups of fewer than 10, $1,090 per person for the five-day institute with one follow-up consultation at no additional charge.

One-Day to Four-Day Institutes:  $220 per person per day for one-day to four-day institutes.
