Fundraising for the Children's Education

Broadoaks relies primarily on the generosity of donors to maintain its services because a priority of the school is to maintain a representative socio-economic, ethnic, and ability balance in all its classrooms.  This balance is crucial to the school's work in teacher education, since a student population that approximates that of the public schools provides the most meaningful "learning laboratory" for both current and future teachers.

The Broadoaks Parent Organization sponsors annual events to provide the fundraising base, which is augmented by the Friends of Broadoaks support group, several memorial funds, and assistance from Whittier College fund-raising programs.

Annual Holiday Auction Fundraiser

Held each November, the Broadoaks Holiday Auction Fundraiser offers silent and voice auctions. About 600 members of the greater Whittier community, families and friends of Broadoaks attends the auction.

Your business or organization name will be prominently displayed at the event and in promotional materials prior to the event.  We will also place links to sponsoring businesses and organizations on the school’s website. More than 500 community members attend the Auction each year.  This is the school’s only annual fundraiser.  All proceeds are used for classroom materials and instructional supplies.
