Water Polo Wins SCIAC Home Opener
Galvin '08 Finishes with Hat Trick
Caroline Galvin '08 scored three goals and assisted on three
others to lead Whittier College to a 12-8 win over the University of La
Verne to open Southern California intercollegiate Athletic Conference
play on March 24. The Poets are now 8-11 overall and 1-0 in the
SCIAC.
Galvin leads the Poets with 51 goals this season. Karley Perine
'08 finished with two goals and two assists. Catherine
Gouge '08 scored twice and added an assist and five steals.
Nicole Sandoval '08 and Sarah Peel '10 had two goals and two
steals apiece. Ashley Papenbrock '08 had a goal and two
assists. Sarah Wills '09 made five saves in three quarters
of action in goal. |

The Poets continue conference play on March 28 when they travel to
Occidental College. The game is scheduled to begin at 5pm. |
