Gangloff '09 Earns All-American Honors
Shuree Gangloff '09 finished in fifth place in the discus to earn
All-American honors at the 2007 Track and Field Championships hosted by
the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on May 23-25.
Gangloff entered the Championships with the
eleventh best mark in the country. In the preliminary round of the
event, she qualified for the finals with a mark of 139 feet, 5 inches,
good for fourth in qualifying. In the final round, she finished
with the exact same mark, putting her in fifth place overall. |

Gangloff currently holds the Whittier College women's record in the
event with a mark of 147'7". This is the second year in a row she
has qualified for nationals in the discus. She earned All-SCIAC
honors in the discus and shot put in 2006, and was all-conference in the
shot put and hammer throw in 2007. |
