Men's Basketball Takes Down West Coast Baptist
Gibson '09 Scores Season-High 28 Points
Marcus Gibson '09 scored a season-high 28 points to lead
Whittier College to a 84-77 home victory over West Coast Baptist College
on December 7.
Vernon Covington '08 and Raphael Farlough '08 each added
10 points for the Poets. Covington also pulled down nine rebounds
and was credited with three steals and Farlough grabbed seven boards. |

The Poets held a 43-34 lead at the half. they shot 49 percent from
the field in the game while the Eagles shot 43 percent. West Coast
Baptist had four players score in double figures. The Poets' next
contest is on December 18, when Puget Sound comes to town for a 7:30
tip-off. |
