Michelle Mascoto '07 was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Week on February 8.  Mascoto scored nearly half of her team's points on February 1 in Whittier's 65-49 loss to Occidental. She poured in a game-high 24 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. She also added four steals and two assists. Mascoto then led the Poets past Cal Lutheran on February 3 with a game-high 17 points and team-highs with eleven rebounds, seven assists and four steals. She was on the sideline for only five minutes in the two games and shot 40% from the field and 30% from behind the arc.
