Orthogonians Hold Annual Reunion
On June 19th
and 20th in Morgan Hill, Calif., 62 past members of the
Whittier College Orthogonian Society held their annual reunion and
invited Director of Athletics, Rob Coleman, to participate in the
festivities.
The event was organized by former Poet basketball player and head coach,
Ivan Guevara ‘59. During his tenure as head coach of the Poets, he had
a record of 69-20. The weekend included a barbeque, golf outing and a
few words from this year’s featured speaker, Bill Harris ’55, who played
football under legendary head coach George Allen. This group of
Orthogonian Society alumni is largely made up of former
student-athletes, the majority of whom participated in the football
program under head coaches George Allen and Don Coryell.
