Whittier Weekend 2006 was a great success. Nearly 1000 alumni, parents, family and friends participated in at least one of the many activities scheduled.


Mitch Carty '96 presented President Herzberger a check from Alumni Gifts totaling $3,009,446.61 during Whittier Weekend.

The Purple & Gold 19th Induction of the Hall of Fame
was held on Thursday, October 19th at the Whittier Radisson Hotel. This year included five honorees: Jack Smoot ’74- Basketball, Stephen Hayes ’63- Basketball, Frank Mendoza ’80- Baseball, Patricia (Palmer) Davis ’89- Women’s Basketball and Mitch Carty ’96- Water Polo/ Golf.

NEW Faculty Site
Prof.praxes is a new portal of information that celebrates and shares faculty accomplishments. The site includes information on the latest news, sabbaticals, research, honors and articles by Whittier College faculty.

The First Public Policy Symposium

The goal of the symposium is to gather alumni and strengthen ties with the college and among each other. We seek to promote a free exchange of ideas on vital topics surrounding Homeland Security and Transportation policy by including faculty, current and future students, along with your classmates in critical discussions in the areas of:
