Student Life

The mathematics student body at Whittier is comprised of students with diverse backgrounds and from different parts of the world. The Department actively seeks and recruits new students, who are active participants in the learning process.

Students play an active role in shaping our community by participating in weekly faculty meetings, submitting personal evaluations of the faculty members at the end of each mathematics course they take and, in general, by having every-day access to the faculty for informal meetings and academic advice of every kind.

The following are links to some recent research papers, seminars, and other relevant works submitted to the Department by students either as a requirement of a course they have taken, or simply projects done as independent study.
