“Today’s Neoliberalism and the Future”
Education is the only known mechanism that does work at
the beginning of the XXI century in a media, which is
always looking for the truth. Interest groups have a huge
influence on all levels of US and Mexican government. In
addition, education and democracy go by the hand go by the
hand in all Latin American countries. In the last few
years there has been a constant sttruggle between the
Mexican government and several major interest groups:
PEMEX and CFE are two of the major field player, in which
a great deal of controversy has been raised. Mexican
political leaders must deal with the PEMEX problem in
which the Mexican citizen must triumph, always oriented
for the people to obtain a better standard of living from
the petroleum national economical gains. Historically,
Mexican Neoliberalism is considered a success and today
the control of PEMEX is in the center of attention of the
Mexican government administration. Moreover, Mexico
develops the great vision for the future in all its
academic, economical and social sectors, and within the
energy arena the “Mexican energy sovereignty” within the
Gulf of Mexico will be defended. Mexico City, “the City of
Hope” has a huge compromise in which Education must win
over any interest issues.
