University; M.A. American University; Ph.D. University
of Maryland, College Park, studies and teaches
twentieth-century literature, especially modernism and
postmodernism. He is also interested in cultural
studies, literary theory, and interdisciplinary
approaches to literature. His dissertation and
continuing research examine the preoccupation with
decline and despair that contemporary British writers
exhibit in their representation of British national
identity. He teaches Modern Novel, Postmodern Novel,
Modern Drama, Contemporary Drama, Writing Short Fiction,
as well as courses on science fiction, subcultures, and
popular culture. |
