Sweet Plums the sweet plums grew high
taunting her short and inexperienced fingers,
the old camcorder clicked and whirled
capturing her jade eyes wide, blinking furiously
long eyelashes brushing away leaves and dust
toes pushing up her plump body
sweat glistening,
and finally
her crooked and juicy grin
Kodak
we overflow with music, laughter, and the smell of icy cold
beer
no one can touch us
and we grin over time and space
because we know its
smoke in the wind
dancing like fools
sleeping in the grass
content to be alive
that hold us together;
and music and laughter and the smell of icy cold beer.
