Give and Take

Wondering if u r a boy or a girl
But she and I agree, a seed we don’t need
So we’re turning her womb into a tomb.
For u, I woulda given my life
But instead I’m leading u to death.
Knowing u are the best part of life
Do I have the right to take yours, because I created u irresponsibly?
So I’m taking your first breadth, first step and first cry.
Ironically for me, to live forever I can only do that through u.

War Games

there’s a war going on and no one cares
the bullets are silent and the blood is invisible
the death toll is in the thousands and its unbearable
the guns are free of charge but the lives are priceless
the families are countless and the funerals are never-ending
the tears are overflowing and the pain is worldwide
the politicians are nowhere to be found, because they go and hide
the mothers are having their babies and losing their babies
the brotha's are losing siblings and the sista's are losing cousins
these kids are losing parents and these homes are losing owners
the sane are losing their minds, the innocent are fallin' in numbers
it’s like a bullet in the mirror
we're killing each other

Going Off

If my body was a gun
The words I speak would be the bullets
My mind would be the clip
While the trigger was my brain that
Spits the words out the clip and
Through the barrel which is my mouth
And if my body was a gun and this paper was flesh
The paper would have surely met death
But just as the gun is me
The next gun could be
The next person that this poem sees
