To become eligible for a Master
of Arts in Education candidates must complete 30 units beyond the
Bachelor of Arts (excluding student teaching). All 30 units must be
part of an Educational Design approved for the MA. Information about
the Education Design is available in the Department of Education and
Child Development. Course requirements for the MA are noted in the
“Completion of MA Degree” section below.
1. Submit an Educational Design Proposal, which has been developed
by the candidate with advice and counsel from the Credential Analyst
and the Department faculty. In most instances the teacher
preparation coursework makes up a major part of your educational
design.
