FOOD & WINE
My first memories of life take me back to the vineyards of Northern California where my extended family harvested the vineyards for the wineries. Hence, I have had a long love affair with the world of wine. My wife, Alicia, and I were married in the vineyards of Sonoma and enjoyed an incredible honeymoon of feasting in the Bordeaux Region of France. We still steal away when we can to discover new wineries along the Central Coast, N. California, and Oregon.
Alicia gifted me a few years back with a portable wine closet that will eventually hold about 500 bottles of wine, almost all of it red, that will be used to entertain friends, family, of-age students and colleagues and will also hopefully comfort me in my future retirement. As a matter of fact the wine closet is big enough to accommodate me once my time has come so phooey to those who claim "You can't take it with you."
Alicia is also a fabulous cook and we both love to eat. Accordingly, I've become a pretty good dish washer and table setter and am her primary and obedient sou chef. Perhaps you will be able at some point to join us for a family feast of food, wine, laughter, and stories.
