online site for Backstage and Backstage West
publication. Features casting
notices, actor resume, photos, resources and articles.
Now Casting (www.nowcasting.com): Submit
headshots and resumes for acting work in film,
television, commercials, industrials, print, theatre and
more in the Los Angeles area. Also a resource good for
submitting to agencies and managers that are looking to
acquire new talent. A variety of packages are
available at a nominal fee that include a variety of
additional materials such as your "actor reel" and voice
over samples. Also includes LA traffic reports and
daily trade info.
Actors Access/Breakdown Services, Ltd. (www.actorsaccess.com):
A regional/national online site for finding acting work
in film, television, theatre, and more. Post and
submit your headshots and resumes via the internet and
receive email notification for upcoming auditions.
Additional services available for additional charges.
Casting Networks/LA Casting (www.lacasting.com):
Another site for submitting electronic headshots and
resumes for acting work in the Los Angeles area.
Receive text-message and email notifications for
auditions. Sides are available to peruse if you
have a subscription.
Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE)
(www.athe.org): The Association
for Theatre in Higher Education
is an organization of individuals and institutions that
provides vision and leadership for the profession and
promotes excellence in theatre education. ATHE actively
supports scholarship through teaching, research and
practice and serves as a collective voice for its
mission through its
publications,
conferences, advocacy,
projects, and through collaborative efforts with other
organizations.
